It’s worth the money, and there’s really no fuss, which I appreciate.

Had breakfast here this morning and it was lovely. The eggs were pretty much spot on, and everything just felt nicely done overall. Would definitely go back, I think.

I was actually excited for the meal, mainly because I’d been thinking about steak all day, which is probably a bit dramatic but it was one of those weeks. Sadly, when it came out, the presentation was a bit of a letdown.
The steak itself tasted fine, so it wasn’t a disaster or anything, but the plate just looked messy. The chips were kind of dumped on the side, and the sauce had spilled a bit, which made it look like it had been rushed. My partner’s meal looked even worse, like nobody had really given it a quick check before sending it out. Random side note, the table next to us had desserts that looked really nice, so I was even more confused.
For the price, I just expected it to look a bit more put together. I’m not expecting some fancy fine dining artwork on a plate, just food that looks like someone cared before it left the kitchen

I really liked it inside, the decor was so cozy and nice feeling. Kind of made the place feel warm right away...

The staff were really lovely and made us feel so welcome. I got the impression they genuinely enjoy what they do, because everyone seemed relaxed and friendly the whole time

The floor was messy, and the tables weren’t exactly sparkling either. But hey, the toilets were okay, so I guess we’re calling that a win.

Went for dinner and had the steak, and I’m being very calm about this, but it was seriously tender. Like, cut-through-it-easily tender, with no chewiness at all. It was cooked exactly how I asked too, which always feels like a small win. Yeah, I’d definitely go back

The food was nice overall, but the portions felt kind of small to me. I was expecting a little more, I guess.

Went here for my partner’s birthday and it was alright overall. The steak was cooked really nicely, but the service felt a bit slow and no one mentioned the birthday, even though I literally added it when booking. It wasn’t bad, I just expected a bit more for the price

Not great, honestly. If you have allergies, I’d be careful here, the allergy information felt messy and hard to trust, which made the whole experience uncomfortable.

The cake was nice, but the brownie was kind of dry. I also felt a little pressured while deciding, so I didn’t really take my time picking what I wanted. Overall, it was just okay.

I can’t quite remember if we waited a few minutes or if it came out pretty much straight away, but either way the steak and chips arrived nice and hot at the table. Everything felt fresh and properly cooked, so I was really happy with it

The food was fine, nothing bad, but getting there was kind of a pain. There didn’t seem to be much around it, and parking took way longer than I expected. I still weirdly remember there was a single orange traffic cone sitting by itself near the entrance, no clue why. Overall it was okay, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back

I tried to book a table a few different times there was just hardly anything available, even on nights that didn’t seem like they should be that busy. I kept checking thinking maybe I’d just picked a bad time, but nope, same issue. In the end we gave up and went somewhere else. Maybe the food is great, I can’t really say, but the whole booking process was frustrating enough that we didn’t get that far

I stopped in here last Friday evening and ended up having a really nice meal. It was definitely busy when we got there, but the noise never got overwhelming. We were able to chat through dinner without raising our voices, which made the whole night feel a lot more relaxed. I’d happily go back again.

I asked for my steak medium rare and it came out just how I wanted it (which doesn’t happen everywhere). It wasn’t overdone at all and had a really nice texture. I was genuinely happy with it and would definitely go back

Went to Bar + Block for dinner the other night and had a nice time. I had steak and chips, simple order, but the steak came out just how I asked for it and the chips were properly good. The staff were friendly too, and someone checked in on us a couple of times, which was nice. I remember the place was quite lively, and I’d just bought a new umbrella earlier that day for absolutely no reason because it didn’t even rain.

The only downside was that the food took a little longer than we expected, but it was busy, so I can’t really complain too much. We weren’t in a massive rush anyway, just got a bit hungry staring at other people’s plates going past. Overall though, it was a good meal and I’d happily go back again.

I really liked the atmosphere inside. It was chilled but also had a bit of life to it, which somehow made it feel quieter, if that makes sense. I felt comfy the whole time and it wasn’t too noisy, even though there were people around
